Our practices are rooted in a deep appreciation for our earth and the support it lends to every living thing. Producing new garments isn't sustainable and we don't pretend that it is. Finding eco-friendly activewear is harder than it should be due to the prominence of polyester in most activewear. But, it doesn’t have to be that way. Since we are in the business of making goods, we have a responsibility to offset and understand the scope of our environmental impact. First and foremost, we produce in limited quantities to avoid leftover inventory and waste. In addition, we are re-distributing our profits to areas of need. We are in partnership with leading environmental non-profit organizations that enable us to undo some of the damage that comes with producing garments.
Our products are now carbon neutral. We already use eco-friendly fabrics and employ sustainable manufacturing practices to significantly reduce our CO2 emissions. But it’ll take some time to reduce our emissions all the way to net zero, there are still emissions which are unavoidable. This is where carbon offsets come in. We buy carbon offset credits from these projects that are equal to our unavoidable emissions. This provides crucial funding for these projects to continue to thrive while making all our products carbon neutral from ‘seed to shelf’.
Every purchase confirmation email has a ‘Carbon Neutral’ button so that you can click and learn more about your carbon neutral order and the communities you’ve supported through the offset projects. We’ll also send you an official Carbon offset certificate from our partner, Green Story with a unique transaction ID to ensure the validity of the offset.
It's not only what's on the inside that matters. Our polybags are 100% biodegradable. This means they’re made of plants, not plastic so you can feel a little less guilty about ordering online. For best composting results, remove the shipping label (recycle it), cut into small pieces and throw into a compost bin. Our Thank You cards are made from 100% Forest Stewardship Council certified Recycled paper and printed with soy-based inks ---- and are 100% compostable too.
Every year, thousands of brands participate in the highly anticipated Black Friday, selling off goods at a discounted price that will most likely be used for a few months and discarded shortly after. We wanted to use this day as an opportunity to do something good for the environment. Each year, instead of putting our items on sale, we offer them at full price and donate 20% of the proceeds to 1% for the planet.
